中性脂肪とは
中性脂肪という言葉をよく耳にしますが、それが実際どのようなものなのか体にどのような影響を与えるのか正しく理解している人は少ないと思います。中性脂肪はコレステロールと同じようなものだと考えている人もたくさんいます。
ところが実際には中性脂肪もコレステロールも全く別のものです。
両方とも脂肪であることは共通していますが、働き自体はまったく別のものです。
私たちの体内にある脂肪の中には、中性脂肪の他にも脂肪酸というものがあります。
脂肪酸は私たちが生きていく上でエネルギーとして一番使うものです。
中性脂肪は食事で摂取されたり、肝臓で作られたりして体内に貯蔵していきます。
中性脂肪も同様にエネルギーとして使うため体内に貯蔵するのですが、中性脂肪の場合はすぐに使うのではなく万が一のときに備えてとっておきます。
さらにコレステロールの場合、他にもホルモンや消化酵素を作るための原料としても使われています。
ただし中性脂肪、コレステロールが体内にたくさん貯まってしまうと体によくない影響が出てしまいます。
そのため貯めすぎないように適度に減らす必要があるのです。
中性脂肪、コレステロールの蓄積量が適度な量を超えるとエネルギーとして使いきれなくなってしまい血液中にどんどん流れてしまうために減らす必要があるのです。
中性脂肪、コレステロールなどは貯めすぎても体によくないし、摂取しなさすぎても体によくないのです。
私たちが生きていく上でとても大切な働きをしているのです。
